The municipal group of IU-Greens in the city of Murcia has filed a motion to Parliament next Thursday urging the government team to start "immediately" work to prepare the Special Plan of Protection and Monumental around El Malecon.
The spokesperson for the organization in the consistory, Esther Herguedas, explained that the Municipal General Management Plan (PGMO) of Murcia forces produce this plan and specifies that while this is not approved will not be able to grant building licenses in the areas to which it refers.
However, according Herguedas, the deadline for approving the Protection Plan was completed in May 2007 and the city have not been drafted, and it is in breach of regulations because the municipality has licensed "probably will condition" preparing the document .
This situation has been denounced repeatedly by Huermur and reached debated at the last plenary of the Municipal Board of the Arboleja, in which political groups represented unanimously approved a proposal to ask to be drafted and start the Protection Plan in the vicinity of El Malecon.
The mayor noted that his motion requires the City to act according to municipal regulations "not granting any license to work in that field while not approved the instrument of planning" and requests a review of the urban development of the recent years.
