María José Pérez Marín was the winner of the tenth edition of Flowers Painting Competition and Books, organized by the Council for Equality Policies and Development Cooperation of the City of Murcia.
The award consists of a work of painter Murcia Raquel González Cortés.
The picture of the winner is called 'I like to read', and has been presented at the Center for Women's Emilia Pardo Bazán Infant neighborhood, where he is a member María José Pérez.
This event is aimed at women from associations and centers Township Women working for gender equality.
This time there have been 36 paintings.
The contest is in collaboration with Regional Foundation Friends of Reading, holding, in collaboration with the city, the workshops encourage reading in associations and Centers for Women.
The purpose of the contest is to bring the art of painting and literature in a painting that reflects the affinity between the flowers and books.
This contest is held every year at a Women's Center, this year's host is the Center for Women 'Federica Montseny' for North Round.
The jury was made up of Alberto Fernandez, professor at the School of Art and Design in Murcia; Encarnacion Garcia, president of the Friends of the Reading Foundation, and Juan Antonio Cortés Abellán painters and Raquel González Cortés.
The works will be exhibited, along with winners of previous paintings in the exhibition hall of the Municipal Center Puertas de Castilla.
The exhibition will be open until the 24th of April, in time of 11-14 hours and 17-21 hours.
