Urban housekeeping waste collected 25,580 kilos on the Burial of the Sardine (08/04/2013)

The special service for cleaning the village after the parade Burial of the Sardine, launched by the Department of Urban Cleaning and Waste Management and Urban Services Cespa, has collected a total of 25,580 kilograms of waste throughout the course of the last parade of the Spring Festival.

Of this amount, it is noteworthy that a large proportion are for cardboard from, mostly, from wrappers and toys that were distributed during the parade.

Working groups began cleaning from Infante Juan Manuel area, where the parade began, performing all the way to Plaza de Castilla, and then return to the Plaza Martinez Tornel to remove the remains of the burning of the sardine.

In addition, because of the delay that occurred in the parade and burning of the sardine caused a delay in the planned organization so had to make an extra effort to clean the city dawn.

At dawn, fifteen groups have worked on cleaning the streets and squares of the city center.

The display featured a special reinforcement provided for areas of the bars where was cleaned of streets in these areas of bars of the city center.

Sunday began cleaning up clash in the center of the city in addition to regular cleaning services for gardens and containers reviewing points and areas of high pedestrian traffic.

A total of 152 workers undertook these tasks, dramatically usual service, using 85 machines, including sweepers, flushers driveways and sidewalks, harvesters and trucks for cash.

This week is going to carry out cleaning sidewalks, pedestrian areas and corners used degreasers, disinfectants and deodorizers to recover one hundred percent the usual cleanliness of the city.
