The IU-Greens councilor in the city of Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel, today expressed "overwhelming" opposition to the construction of a railway station in Los Dolores and considered this project as the "shame of the PP".

Tornel noted that the installation of this station in Los Dolores constitute a waiver definitive burial of the railway passing through Murcia, "and thus the resounding failure of one of the main promises of the PP".
In his view, "a station in Los Dolores, whether temporary or permanent, does not solve the main issue claiming citizenship, and that is the need to bury the tracks, thereby ending the urban divide a municipality divided into two" .
The mayor said that "the rest of the passenger trains and freight traffic will continue through Murcia, and also making the AVE end, when binding to Andalusia."
