The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, did not want to miss the tribute that the city has been taxed to Francisco Sanchez Bautista occasion of World Poetry Day.
Organized by the Museum Ramon Gaya, this activity was first held in 2011, when there was the continuous reading of poems and texts Peñalver Soren and his favorite poets.

The venue chosen-as with the commemoration of the Day of the Book-building is outside the cultural, in the popular Plaza de Santa Catalina, where friends have gathered, writers and intellectuals.
The reading takes place continuously throughout the day, from 10 am to 10 pm.
Unesco chose March 21 as World Poetry Day in order to "encourage support for poets, return to the enchantment of orality and restore dialogue between poetry and the other arts", and to achieve that " poetic art is considered an art not fallen into disuse, but a tool that allows society to regain and assert their identity. "
