At the same time, the birthplace of the great artist from Malaga hosts in turn, and for the first time, an exhibition of painting by Ramon Gaya.
Opens to the public next Friday, with the title "Ramón Gaya, Picasso and Painting".
The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, this morning the exhibition opened today in a ceremony attended by the director of the foundation, Jose Maria Aguilar Moon also councilor of Culture, Rafael Gomez and Ramon Museum Director Gaya, Manuel Fernández-Delgado.
It is the fourth time that the Museum Plaza Santa Catalina is hosting an exhibition of Picasso, but it is the first time that comes through direct collaboration with its foundation.
The other three were collections of two banks and a private museum.
Throughout his life, Pablo Picasso made a number of works in which the woman was the protagonist.
The exhibition can be seen today in the presence Murcia collected in the period between 1933 and 1958, beginning with the appearance of Marie-Thérèse Walter and Dora Maar continuing, Françoise Gilot and Jacqueline Roque.
In total, the sample consists of 16 large prints that come from a careful selection of works by Picasso kept in his birthplace of Málaga.
