Professor of Medicine will be sworn in tomorrow Rafael Carmena honorary doctorates from the University of Murcia (20/03/2013)

Carmena Rafael Rodriguez, professor emeritus at the University of Valencia, will be sworn in tomorrow Thursday, March 21, new honorary doctor of the University of Murcia, in a grand ceremony to be held in the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca.

The PhD was the first Professor of Pathology and Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Murcia, as well as Chief of the Department of Medicine at the Medical City then Virgen de la Arrixaca, between 1975 and 1982.

That year he moved to Valencia, where he held the Head of Service of Endocrinology and Nutrition, University Hospital and the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Valencia.

Among his distinctions, figure, among many others, the King Jaime I Prize for Clinical Medicine.

The inauguration ceremony, which will be chaired by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, will be held from 12:00 pm in the auditorium of the Hospital.
