17 municipal officers get the same recognition, while 23 other staff members have earned public personal congratulations and 13 have received a tribute due to retirement.
Fifty-three members of the Local Police Corps of Murcia have been protagonists of the ceremony held this morning at the Plenary Hall on the occasion of the feast of St. Patrick, patron of the Body.
The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has awarded the honors and awards under the regulations, which are awarded for the second time.
Among the awards are those granted to the Chief of Police of Murcia, Cyril Duran, and Colonel Chief of the 5th area of ​​the Guardia Civil, José Ortega, who have become the first people outside the local police who receive Cruz Police Merit with White Distinction in recognition of the path of the Security Forces of the State for the benefit of the citizens of Murcia.
The honors and regulations came into force in August 2011.
With your approval, the Council aims to highlight the outstanding merit, incurred by those of one form or another have distinguished themselves in a remarkable manner in favor of Local Police Corps of Murcia, its members or, in general, of all citizens.
The performance of acts featured during the service and maintenance throughout their professional or private life of exemplary conduct may be subject to the appropriate distinction.

A professional and qualified staff
