"Analysis ecological, economic and legal network of natural areas in the region of Murcia" and "Protected natural areas in the region of Murcia: a case study from an interdisciplinary perspective," are the books that will be presented on Thursday, 14 March at 19.30 am in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts, Campus de la Merced.
The presentation will serve to hold a debate on establishing public strategies for conservation of our natural landscapes and biodiversity without neglecting the interests of the people living and build that same landscape.

According to the authors, as in many other parts of the world, in the region of Murcia, witnessing a most interesting stage and convulsed almost one hundred years of tours of protecting our natural heritage.
Recent court decisions in favor of the visions conservationists and European requirements regarding management plans of Natura 2000 has led to an intense and rich dialogue, sometimes with clear belligerence, between different social actors have corresponsabilizados being concerned in the design and conservation of nature in the beginning of this century.

ECOLOGICAL ANALYSIS, ECONOMIC AND LEGAL NATURE NETWORK REGION OF MURCIA

It includes protection of natural areas in a part of the Spanish Mediterranean biogeographical province, the Region of Murcia.
The analysis is performed under three perspectives, one green, from conservation biology, other socioeconomic, from the conceptual framework and instruments of environmental economics, and the third law, interpreting the general legal context and the specific regulations of this field.
PROTECTED NATURAL AREAS OF THE REGION OF MURCIA

The play takes an interdisciplinary diagnosis conservation of natural areas through fourteen case studies in the context of Mediterranean ecosystems of the Region of Murcia.
The book attempts to answer key questions in the debate of networks of protected areas: how can we improve the representativeness of the network of protected areas?
Is there enough current boundaries of protected areas?
Can we anticipate the potential impact of climate change on the network of protected areas?
The answer to these and other questions will try to get a deeper understanding of the policy of protecting nature.
