The Explorers Scout Federation celebrates its centenary in Murcia Region with XXXII Scout Song Festival, bringing together over the weekend to more than two thousand children and youth.
The activities, organized by the Federation of Scout groups and Southern Cross, Kimball O'Hara and Kenya, with the support of the Youth Council of the City of Murcia and the Local Youth Council, will begin on Saturday at 13.00 hours with the opening of the Festival in San Basilio pergola.
During the day the participants will carry out activities throughout the city, mainly in the streets of Las Flores, Belluga, Glorieta, Santa Isabel, La Cruz, Apostles, Santa Catalina, the neighborhood of the pergola Ranero and St. Basil.
Youth Councillor, Miguel Cascales, and Vice President of the Federation of Scouts Murcia, Maria Fuensanta Ramallo, presented acts.
On Sunday the Festival will start at 10.30 am song, in the garden of La Seda.
The closing and awards ceremony will take place at 13.30.
Children and young participants, aged between 6 and 21 years, will stay at the Sports Center in El Ranero and Soccer Field The Ranero.
The Explorers Scout Federation of Murcia is an NGO dedicated to values ​​education and leisure of children and youth, with over three thousand members, organized into 29 groups.
In February 1913 Local Committee was constituted and the Explorers of Spain in the city of Cartagena, as of that date, Scouting was making its way through the region.
