The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, held a meeting this morning with some of the participants in the conference that has organized the City in connection with the application for the declaration of the Biosphere Reserve of the Sierras and Murcia Golf - "The Owl Country "- by UNESCO.
The conference, convened under the name "sustainable development experiences in the Spanish Biosphere Reserves", given the opportunity to learn the practice gained in the Sierra de las Nieves, Montseny or Nancea Muniellos-sources.
Prior to the conclusion of this session, the meeting with Chamber has also received the support of the Mayor of Somiedo, Bellarmine Fervienza Fernandez.
The World Network of Biosphere Reserves by UNESCO recognized currently consists of 610 reserves in 117 countries, of which 43 are in Spain, although none in the region of Murcia and in the Mediterranean Levant.
