The four political groups represented in the City Council have unanimously in plenary in February posthumous tribute to Professor Antonio Díaz Bautista giving it the name of a city street.
Diaz Bautista, who died late last January, became Doctor in 1970, which began a continuing teaching and research that led to address theses, conferences and hundreds of articles in the most prestigious journals worldwide, as well as various works on Roman law.
In the joint motion was stated that "the work of Antonio Díaz Bautista has not narrowed his incessant teaching. Their dedication to painting, in which he emphasized by his works devoted to the garden of Murcia, customs and landscapes , also earned the recognition of Murcia in numerous solo and group exhibitions in which he participated. "
Also in the text adopted is stated that "the legacy of Díaz Bautista, his loyal defense of Murcia and its history and traditions, and their selfless dedication to those projects benefiting the city and its citizens, shows the great love he had for this land, which was wonderful ambassador. "
