San Antonio Catholic University (UCAM) celebrates continues the celebration of the XII International Conference of Charity and Volunteering under the theme 'Peace and advancement of peoples'.
During this third day, among other acts, was held a round table on the participation of Orthodox churches in building peace in which participated representatives of various Orthodox churches.
This afternoon there will be an ecumenical celebration of the Word presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Monsignor Jose Manuel Lorca Planes.
Regarding the participation of the Orthodox Churches in the construction of peace, the vicar general of the Serbian Orthodox Patriarchate for Spain and Portugal, Joan Garcia Casanova, explained that "since time immemorial Orthodox churches get working for world peace from the point of view not only religious but also social and ecumenical. "
Examples of actions religious, the vicar has indicated the development of joint committees theological, social, social aid coordination to the needy, and bring peace to conflict mediation efforts mediantes and good practice.
Regarding ecumenical field, said the global ecumenical organization of meetings held during the year.
Notably, this afternoon at 21 am in the parish of San Francisco de Asís (Murcia), Bishop of Murcia, Monsignor Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, chaired the ecumenical celebration of the Word.
