The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, this morning attended the opening of the XII International Exhibition organized by Volunteer UCAM, which will run until next Sunday.
The fair is part of the program of the International Conference of Charity and Volunteering, which were inaugurated yesterday, also organized by the International Institute of Charity and Volunteer John Paul II.
The aim of this event is to provide volunteering through associations, organizations and groups working in its promotion in the Region of Murcia.
The ceremony held this morning has also involved the presence of the Bishop of the Diocese, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, María Ángeles Palacios UCAM President, José Luis Mendoza, and the rector of the UCAM Josefina Garcia.
By the City, also attended the council responsible for the area of ​​Social Welfare and Development Cooperation, María del Carmen Pelegrin and Alicia Barquero.
The Mayor wanted to support with their presence this sample that disclosed the important work of volunteering in the town in all areas, "but in a very important in these times of economic crisis we are living" .
This show is, in his opinion, "a reflection of the solidarity of society Murcia, serving those most in need."
The exhibition features 41 booths of associations, among others, Caritas, Astrapace, Jesus Forsaken, FAMDIF, Aspanpal, ADANER or the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
