The Faculty of Biology, University of Murcia has organized open days, which will extend the 26, 27 and 28 February, to mark the center XXVI Week, which this year marks the International Year of Cooperation in the area of ​​water.
Those who come to the center, located on the campus of Espinardo, can enjoy, from 9:00 to 14:00 pm, guided tours of the exhibitions prepared for the week: "Mediterranean Natural areas" (Office of the University Association Green-Eubacteria ), "Collection of vertebrate bone" (Department of Zoology and Physical Anthropology) and "ecomarathon Project" (Department of Information Engineering and Communications).
Also, you can see samples of contests "Biological Photography" and "Drawing School", the latter directed to students of primary education in the Region of Murcia, in addition to the visit to the Museum of Natural History, Faculty Joseph Loustau .
It has also been scheduled for the visitors various scientific activities in which teachers and university students cover topics such as the structure of DNA, the red palm weevil, regional biodiversity or visual recognition of minerals and rocks.
Apart from open days during the week there will be lectures focusing on water harvesting and career opportunities in Biology.
The rector of Coordination and Communication, María Ángeles Esteban, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty, José Meseguer, today opened the activities, in an act which has given various awards, including the Regional Olympiad of Biology and best poster presented at the National Congress of Environment CONAMA 2012.
