The Transport Quality Commission has reconvened this morning to continue working to improve public transport in the town.
Councilman Traffic and Transportation, Javier Iniesta, accompanied by the mayor and Traffic Safety, Nuria Fuentes, and Councilman Manuel Durán, presided this morning meeting which was attended by Juana Perez, president of Thaderconsumo; Pedro Valera, president of UCE, Jose Enrique Perez, manager of Transportation Murcia; Severiano Arias, Murcia tram manager, Juan Martinez, president of Radiotaxi, and Ruben Ayala, of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of the Municipality of Murcia.
In addition to all of them, members of this committee, has invited the president of Local Youth Council, Francisco Sanchez, to present, in detail, all the details of the proposal of this organization to launch a new service of buhobús.
In this workshop also studied the different options for restructuring urban bus lines and the proposals made by the neighborhood associations of San Andres, Joven Futura and Vistabella and consumer associations Thaderconsumo and UCE.
Remember that at the last meeting of the Committee on Transport Quality improvements were studied tram schedule, approved by the Governing Board on Wednesday and will start next Monday.
The primary objective of this Transport Quality Commission is to enable public transport is increasingly used, with a reasonable and affordable price and ease of mobility because it will allow us to reduce urban traffic impact of the motor vehicle, the pollution and economic spending.
So we study the suggestions, improvements, reviews and modifications should be introduced to improve the service and can be made by users via the municipal website for transportation companies, organizations and consumer users or through Federation of Neighborhood Associations.
