The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, propose to the full City Council the name of a city street in memory of Antonio Díaz Bautista, who died last Monday.
Chamber recalled the highest caliber professional and artistic staff and former professor at the University of Murcia, also highlighting their innate qualities for painting and art, besides being a music lover indisputable.
"So many facets grown-recalls the mayor, and always did it with such dedication and love, that Murcia always be indebted to him."
Therefore, the dedication of a city via Diaz Bautista is a sign of recognition of Murcia to one of his most beloved neighbors, whose "life and career has helped to magnify the name of our city," concluded House.
Born in the Barrio del Carmen, studied teaching and law in Murcia, but then continued his studies in Germany.
Apart from his teaching, Díaz Bautista also noted for his artistic work as a painter and music lover-chaired the Association for Music-as well as author of articles that shelled today.
