Murcia medical journalism in the first third of the twentieth century is the subject matter of the doctoral thesis defended José López González at the University of Murcia.
The research work carried out an analysis of the medical journal "Medical Murcia" (1915-1918), "Journal of Tisiology and Specialties" (1919-1926) and "Doctor Lift" (1928-1932), linked by its founders, and a prosopographical study of its directors and prominent authors Murcia.
The predominant specialty in scientific articles is studied microbiology / infectious diseases and tuberculosis is the most common.
The thesis was supervised by Professor of History of Science Juan Miguel Gómez Sáez.
Moreover, the thesis of Purification Rodríguez Ruiz has studied the scientific, educational and cultural life of Antonio Pedro Rodríguez Pérez (1912-1964) as one of the last representatives of the Spanish neurohistological School, continuing the work of Santiago Ramón y Cajal.
The author describes his studies of the synapse and the sensory receptors of the skin and the aortic and carotid Glomus and in pathology, work on the cultivation of the bacillus of Hansen.
