Murcia City Council and the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, through the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Region of Murcia, implement the campaign 'grows in safety' for school Primary 5 all centers schools in the municipality.
The aim is to inform the students of the risks they have in their environment: in school, at home and on journeys from home to school.
It shows children that their daily activities are subject to possible accidents due to falls, burns, workload, contact with toxic chemicals, electrical hazards, bumps, cuts, wounds and abrasions, fires and explosions, asphyxiation and airway obstruction, etc.
The presentation of the campaign has involved the Councillor for Education, Maria Dolores Sanchez, the Director of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Region of Murcia, Tomas Perez Fuentes, and the Chief of Training, César López Nicolás.
The image of the campaign and the protagonists are Gil Lopez family and their pet cat Prevenix, because an essential aspect of training and learning of children are their families.
Furthermore, it was found that in other editions of the campaign, the children tell their parents what they have learned about risks, and the same parents reflect on the risks they have in their work and daily activities.
The information sessions are 50 minutes and are taught by staff from the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health in schools.
To support the talks is used as a teaching comics, in which the student, in addition to observing funny situations, detects the dangers that surround him in his daily tasks.

Drawing competition
The school Primary 5 may participate in drawing competition (local and regional) with the motto "We invite you to win surely ', in which a reference to any facts related to the prevention of risks, and in particular with risks of professions that parents play.
The drawings should include safety-related phrases.
The awards, which consist of bikes, e-books, cameras and mp4, will be presented on April 28, the International Day for Safety and Health at Work.
