The Councillor for the Environment, Adela Martinez-Cachá met yesterday with a group of pedáneos to explain the benefits of the project 'The Owl country'.
Thus begins the process of public participation which will continue until the project presentation on March 30
The meeting was attended by the headman of Sangonera La Verde, Los Garres, Beniaján, Glens of San Pedro, and Truyols Gea, Baths and Pauper, The Pool, El Palmar, TorreagĂźera, Algezares, Corvera, La Murta and Los Martínez del Puerto.
He also attended Miguel Duran, District Councillor and headman of Lobosillo.
Councilwoman Martinez-Cachá introduced the project and explained the opportunities created for the social, economic and cultural development of the districts included in the scope of future Biosphere Reserve of the Sierras and Murcia Golf.
The headman expressed their interest and support in the project by signing letters of support.
Also the meeting was to discuss the actions of the Communication Plan that are intended to inform the public, such as information activities in schools in the districts, campaigns weekly markets and a traveling exhibition on Biosphere Reserves in Spain .
