National Police agents arrested last January 4 four people on suspicion of a scam carried out in malls Murcia by manipulating the bar codes on the labels of some items and subsequent step paying cash for a much lower price than the real.
The investigations began when those responsible for a mall in Murcia city filed a complaint alleging irregularities were observed in the control of sales, to find that several game consoles had been recorded in the boxes for a price lower than the real.
The agents of the District Commissioner El Carmen could see that the modus operandi used by the investigation was to replace the labels with the bar code of the new consoles by an amount less than previous model and then take them by the paying cash online this second price, about five times lower than the new model.
By this method, the appropriate managed investigated at least eleven consoles in several malls in Murcia and Cartagena, which were then sold to third parties through the Internet or directly.
After checking the facts, on January 4 agents proceeded to the arrest of those involved in this, one woman and three men, all Spanish nationals aged between 29 and 39 years.
All detainees who were brought before the Magistrate's Court Guard of Murcia, are charged with a crime of fraud.
The operation was carried out by officers of the Police Headquarters of Murcia belonging to the District Commissioner Carmen.
