The Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin, participated this afternoon in the traditional blessing of the rolls, in the chapel of San Antón.
This is one of the most memorable acts of neighborhood parties.
The 100,000 rolls that are blessed, have been prepared by a score of neighboring district.
The bags with bagels can be collected in a house that sits in front of the chapel, to change the will.
The money raised will go to the parish Caritas and maintenance costs of the hermitage.
According to tradition, "St. Anton which carries a roll, does not lack money in your pocket."
After the blessing of the rolls, has celebrated the delivery of the gold medal in the neighborhood of San Antón Francisco Eytor Chur, president of the neighborhood Senior Center, and the Regional Federation of Employers of the Metal, Municipal Center Doors Castilla.
In addition, the festival of San Antón have two big days, the celebration of the Feast of San Fulgencio, Patron of the Diocese, on Wednesday January 16 and the day of San Anton, on January 17.
On January 16, at 19.30 there will be a Mass in the chapel of San Antón sung by the choir of Our Lady of the Rock Fuensanta 'San Isidro-La Panocha', and at the end procesionará San Fulgencio image of the streets the neighborhood.
On January 17, St. Anton, will celebrate the traditional Mass and blessing of animals back in the chapel, at 12.00 and 19.30.
In the afternoon, when finished the Eucharist, is planned procession of Saint Anthony through the streets of the neighborhood.
