The municipal group of IU-Greens in Murcia City Council today urged councilors Culture and Libraries, Rafael Gomez and Dolores Sanchez, to clarify the status of the library and popular school in the hamlet of Beniaján, which remain closed after being flooded last August by a broken pipe.

According to the IU-Greens councilor in the city of Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel, furniture and furnishings in the library have been moved to another city center after the flood, while the music school he teaches at The Azacaya.
Tornel has claimed that "citizens do not seem to have received clear information about the causes of the incident and the options provided to address the lack of services affected," and wondered if the Municipal Board "has been on the rise to the occasion as to keep its neighbors of the facts. "
