The Board of Trustees of the University of Murcia, headed by José Manuel Martínez, 2013 has approved the budget of this institution, amounting to 182.4 million euros, compared to 195 million by 2012, representing a decrease of 6.5 percent.
The Council has been greeting phrases for the government team at the University for their efforts in preparing this budget and has also adopted its own operating budget, which has decreased "remarkable", to get to 26 percent over the previous year.
This body has agreed to make this reduction to provide scholarships for young researchers.
On the other hand, has given its approval to the public costs of different courses and has been informed of the agreements to be subscribed by the University with various agencies and entities.
It also commended the president for the honorary degree he received in the University of Morón Argentina and gold medal awarded by the Pontifical University of Salamanca.
At the beginning of the session took office as member Antonio Jimenez, secretary general of the UGT.
