The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, Patino attended yesterday the closure of the celebrations for the centenary of the Parish of Our Lady of Fuensanta.

The event, attended by hundreds of patiñeros, was chaired by the Bishop of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes and attended the Centennial Godmother, Marisol Meroño Balsalobre.

Patiño Parish was erected with the help of all parishioners of the former hamlet in 1912.

Since then it became a center of attraction for many residents of the garden, which allowed the creation of a new population center around the temple.
