It was one of the issues addressed by the Mayor of Murcia and President of the Spanish Network of Cities for Cycling in the meeting held this morning with the Director General of Traffic.
The meeting has also been used to discuss possible measures to reduce accidents.
Advancing education to increase road safety in the use of bicycles in cities has been one of the key aspects in today's working meeting held by the Mayor of Murcia and President of the Spanish Network of Cities for Cycling Miguel Ángel Cámara, with the Director General of Traffic, Maria Segui Gomez.
Among the actions to be submitted for study directed towards this goal is the adoption of measures by the DGT to reduce the danger of traffic roundabouts biking and implementation of Areas 30, reduced speed, to pacify traffic in cities.
This, as noted by House, "based on the awareness and citizen, as well as the implementation of new measures to increase the safety of cyclists."
House has used the meeting to address issues related to the creation of the National Bicycle Registry (BiciRegistro), for whose operation has requested the support of the DGT and the coordination with the Security Forces of the State.
