The University of Murcia and Amnesty International (AI) have signed an agreement to jointly develop cultural activities, such as conferences, concerts, exhibitions, round tables or any other part of the schedules of both entities.
Likewise, the agreement, which was initialed at the seat of the Rector (Convalescence building), provides for the possibility of organizing courses or seminars valid for obtaining credits.
The driving force of the agreement, the rector of Students and Employment, Maribel Sanchez-Mora, showed the satisfaction of the University to collaborate with a prestigious institution of Amnesty International.
Meanwhile, the dean of the Faculty of Social Work, Pastor Enrique, referred to the formalization of partnerships in recent years that the university maintains with the humanitarian organization.
The agreement was signed by the coordinator of Group IIA of Murcia, Carmen Rico, and the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, which highlighted the work of Amnesty International in order to protect human rights.
The signing ceremony was part of the activities organized by the School of Social Work to commemorate the International Day of Human Rights.
