First.

After being informed of the debt owed by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia with this University, of the consequences resulting therefrom and the agreement signed with the regional government, the Senate resolved to request the governing bodies of the University:

1.

That the funds recovered by that pact intended, as far as possible:

a) To maintain the quality of teaching and research

b) the preservation of jobs and working conditions of all staff

2.

That monitor compliance with this covenant and that in any case of breach thereof by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, begin the process of withdrawal of debt through the courts concerned.

Second.

The Senate supports the CRUE's manifesto, dated December 10, 2012, and ratified in the Senate agreement, dated May 15, 2012, which is opposed to cuts in public universities in the Region denounces the rise of university fees and calls back to the university community, and society in general, to the defense of the university system as a public service that guarantees progress and social cohesion.
