The University of Murcia has announced today, during a conference held in the House of Arts, the Center for the Study of Virtual Archaeology, that commitment to new technologies of information and communication as a key element in preserving and enhancement of the heritage of the different civilizations qua throughout history have inhabited the Mediterranean Sea.
Under the name of Digital Innovation Center in Mediterranean Cultural Heritage (digitalMED), is interdisciplinary and includes the participation of teachers from the faculties of Arts, Computing, Humanities and Education educational institution Murcia.
The presentation of the Center of Studies and the opening of the conference has been in charge of the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, who was accompanied by Professor Mariano Flores, who will lead this center.
La Jornada, which has been on the cultural heritage in the digital age, has developed over this morning and his organization has helped the Spanish Society of Virtual Archaeology.
