The Cabinet has approved ten royal decrees through which granted the Grand Cross of the Civil Order of Alfonso X the Wise to as many personalities, in consideration of the merits and circumstances of them.
Such personalities are Gonzalo Diaz Diaz, Professor of History of Western Thought at the University of Murcia.
The Grand Cross is a restricted (500) and may only be granted to Spanish and foreign individuals who have contributed in an extraordinary degree the development of education, science, culture, education or research, where the standard patent exceptional merit.
Gonzalo Díaz Díaz is Professor of History of Western Thought at the University of Murcia, a researcher at National Research Council, eminent philosopher, has contributed in an extraordinary way to the development of education and research of philosophy in Spain.
His monumental work "Men and documents of the Spanish philosophy" bio-bibliographic collection of the life and work of philosophers Spanish and Hispanic-American, is the main reference of Spanish philosophical historiography.
