The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, said today during his report to the Governing Council of the institution that next week hopes to reach agreement with the Autonomous Region on debt financing, which in late 2011 exceeded 51 million euros.
"What we tried-noted-is that the cuts are minimized and that next year we will receive at least one-third of the outstanding debt."
The chancellor has indicated that the government team headed still protest, against the claims of some sectors university, "but we can not forget the crisis suffered widespread Spain for years and it has gotten worse lately."
The Governing Council of the University, which met in the building of Convalescence, has approved the contents of the agreements to be signed with various institutions and entities and other matters related to various vice-rectors.
