San Antonio Catholic University (UCAM) held this morning the First Conference 'Tourism and Professional Development', on the occasion of the commemoration of the pattern of the titration, San Francisco Javier.
Therefore, there have been several papers in which they have participated the Deputy Dean of the degree of Tourism, Ginesa Martínez del Vas, the Vice President for Research Estrella Nunez Senator's Party for Murcia, M ª José Nicolás, and Vice President of the Federation Regional Entrepreneurs of Hospitality and Tourism, Jesus Pacheco.
According Ginesa Martinez, the aim of the conference is "to form a meeting between business and students, so they know firsthand what the reality of business, what their needs are now, to adapt somehow own curriculum to the content itself, and while we want students to see that actually the professional tourism expert is necessary for these companies in the tourism sector. "
For his part, Senator's Party for Murcia, M ª José Nicolás, currently has stressed that "it is necessary to innovate, adapt to an increasingly personalized demand."
In this regard, he added that "new technologies are essential, and Murcia is a leader in innovation in tourism."
The senator has detailed that "Spain is a major world power in tourism, the tourism industry is growing despite the economic crisis, and the public-private partnership is essential to move forward."
The president of the Circle of Economy of the Region of Murcia, Jesus Pacheco, has referred to the many career opportunities in tourism studies, and has emphasized the disciplinarity of these studies.
According to Pacheco, "that this race has more students need to sell well, we must reclaim the language and skills of the tourism sector, it is undervalued."
