The Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Murcia table held a tribute in honor of one of the most distinguished professors and thinkers from the center, Jarauta Francisco, who recently retired.
The event, attended by the president of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, was peer interventions from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​University of Extremadura, Collège de France (Paris), European Design Institute (Madrid) and IES Sixto Marco de Elche.
Jarauta, who studied Philosophy, Art History and Anthropology in Valencia, Rome, Münster, Berlin and Paris, has been Professor of Philosophy at the University of Murcia, in addition to visiting professor at several universities in Europe and North America.
Author of numerous publications and curator of several exhibitions, most recently, "Ariadne's Thread", which opened with the cultural center La Casa del Reader (Madrid) -, his research focuses on the philosophy of culture, history of ideas, aesthetics and art theory.
Known for his skills as a speaker, teacher's concerns Jarauta beyond, covering other fields of knowledge, such as architecture or travel literature.
