Municipal Team Care Violence Against Women (EMAVI) Murcia City Council has made in the months of 2012 a total of 1,378 GBV interventions (consultations, phone calls, etc.) and has attended 303 cases.
In the same period of 2011, interventions were attended by 1,512 and 326 cases of gender violence.
67% of women who have come to the municipal services are Spanish, followed by Morocco (9.24%), Ecuador (5.61%), Bolivia (5.28%) and Romania (1.98%).
As for the age of female patients, a 38.28% are between 30 and 40 years, a 25.74% between 40 and 50 years, and 17.16% between 20 and 30 years.
A 30.69% of the women served by the City has two children, a son 28.71% and 14.19% three children, who usually tend to be in charge.
Regarding the level of studies, 43.23% have primary education, secondary 31.68% and 18.48% just have studies.
A 38.94% is unemployed and does not charge any benefits, a 14.19% income is active income of insertion and 13.20% gainfully employed.
The 68.32% of women attending complaint lodged by domestic violence and 33% have a restraining order.
Of the victims, 43.89% receives legal and psychological assistance 19.80%.
As for the attackers, the 54.13% is the partner, former partner 36.30% and 5.28% groom.
The 81.85% do not live with them, and 18.15% live in the same place.
The 46.53% of female patients has reported physical and psychological abuse, the 19.80% 15.51% psychological and physical.
Foster homes
