Municipal Center of El Carmen welcomes the exhibition 'Women Painters', a tribute performed by the students of the paint shop Women's Center of Holy Angel to the life and work of women artists.
These are 14 pictures that represent the work of famous painters.
In addition, the workshop participants have researched the life and work of these artists, and next to the pictures you can find a biography of the painters who made the original picture.
The Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin, and the policy community Councillor for Equality and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, who inaugurated the exhibition, explained that this is the space show that women have occupied in the art history, and recognize their pictorial quality.
This activity is part of the program to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which falls on November 25.
Women participants are: Eloina Rueda, Carmina, Noelia Garcia, Maria Carmen Castillo, Lidia Castillo, M ª Carmen Turpin, Rosa Aznar, Loles Serrano, Encarni Perez, Sally Alcaraz, Reme Orenes, Natalia Van Iseghem, and exhibits are basandos in original Mary Cassatt, Sally Storch, Henriette Browne, Sally Swatland, Mary Cassatt, Tamara de Lempicka, Anna Ancher, Sonia Delauny, Felisky Barbara and Sofia Morales.
The exhibition will be open until the 30th of November, in the exhibition hall of the Municipal Center of El Carmen, in 10-13 hours, and 17-20 hours, Monday through Friday.
