The regional government has approved a grant of 439,981 euros to the University of Murcia (UMU) aimed at investment costs in infrastructure, equipment and other investments campus university of Health Sciences.
Currently they are building the first phase of the new campus, which arose from the convenience of joining efforts in biomedical research and collect in a suitable environment for professionals in the health sciences.
So, this site is located adjacent to the hospital complex Arrixaca Virgin, the main region, focus teaching health titles of UMU and will cover the practical teaching of the titles of Medicine, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Nursing.
This campus now has different infrastructures, such as building and pavilion departmental faculty and the Integrated Center of Biomedicine, containing an animal facility and support services for research, and biomedical research laboratories, facilities that they support research groups in the region and are related to national and international level.
These new facilities will allow the adaptation of university studies to the European Higher Education as well as increase the quality of biomedical research, which will result in improved quality of care offered to patients while creating wealth and development.
