The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, accompanied by the delegate of the Government, Joaquín Bascuñana, yesterday inaugurated the International Congress of Criminology and Specialist Victimológicas Sciences and Comprehensive Intervention with Victims of Crime, held this week at the institution teacher.
Until next Friday, criminologists from different countries, including important personalities of Corrections and Security Forces of the State of Colombia, transfer their knowledge, methods and advances in the discipline.
In one block of Congress, is to study the treatment of crimes of domestic violence, juvenile crime and terrorism, which will be analyzed from a legal and criminological perspective aimed at determining the profile of the victims, types, phenomenology of violence , effectiveness of treatment programs, social resources and means to reduce these scourges.
In a second part will discuss about the Spanish prison system and compliance with security measures in specialized detention facilities, while a third section will be geared to the exercise of the activity of the law enforcement and security research techniques Modern developed by them.
The seminar, which takes place in the Lecture Hall of Antonio Soler de la Merced, in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts and in the building of Convalescence, is organized by the Department of Criminal Law at the University of Murcia and the Foundation of Victimology .
