The Tourism Department has first issued leaflets with information about the Museum Ramon Gaya of Murcia.
These brochures are available at the Tourist Office in Belluga and Information Point Romea so visitors can learn about the space that houses some of the painter's work.
The booklet, published in Castilian and English, shows images of the Museum and the work of Gaya, while explaining the features of the building that houses the collection.
Ramón Gaya (1910-2005) painter and writer Murcia is the last painter of the Generation of '27.
His work includes more than 2,500 paintings displayed in private and public collections in Europe and America.
Has received, among other prizes, the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts (1985), National Arts Award (1997) and Velázquez Prize for the Arts (2002).
The Councillor for Tourism, Miguel Cascales, explained that this is the first time you edit a brochure about the museum and that is to promote to art lovers visiting this space, whose visit is free.
The brochure includes general information about the museum, its history, high quality photos and a map of the center of Murcia where the museum is located.
This publication is in addition to those that have done this type of Easter, Bando de la Huerta, Burial of the Sardine, Moors and Christians and the Bullfighting Museum.
This initiative is part of the Revitalization Plan and Promotion Murcia 365 and aims to provide information to citizens on attractions, festivals and customs.
The Museum Ramon Gaya is located in the Plaza de Santa Catalina, with Monday to Saturday from 10 to 14, and 17 to 20 hours, and on Sundays and holidays from 11 to 14 hours.
