Lawyers for all professional colleges of the country can use the application "Portafirmas" at the University of Murcia, electronically sign documents allowing both from the computer and from mobile phones.
Using this tool, which promotes mobility, immediacy and cost saving procedures performed by lawyers in their daily work, it will be possible thanks to the agreement signed in Convalescence by the rector of the institution, José Antonio Cobacho, and Vice President of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers, Lluis Pere Huguet.
The president also signed, digitally in this case, a collaboration agreement for the two institutions to exchange technologies and best practices related to e-government services such as a certified copy of documents, electronic document validator, scanning systems certified or others.
The collaboration is led by the Vice President of Finance and Infrastructure, headed by Professor Antonio Calvo-Flores, who noted that the agreement reflects the vocation of the University of "transferring knowledge transfer beyond academia, as in this case is sought to make government more efficient. "
Lluis Pere Huguet, who explained the Council bet electronic tools to facilitate practice of the members, said that the implementation of the University of Murcia qualifies seeking: the best economic plan and the cheapest.
In turn, the president expressed Cobacho General Council of the Bar of the institution's gratitude for the trust and praised the work being done in the area of ​​Information Technology and Communications Applied (Attica).
The ceremony was also attended by the deans of the Bar Associations of Cartagena and Murcia, Francisco José Martínez-Wheels and Escribano, respectively, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Faustino Cava, in addition to individual team members rectory.
