The Faculty of Arts has today received the first prize of Energy Saving and Efficiency at the University of Murcia, who called the Vice President of Finance and Infrastructure in order to involve all university groups with the austerity measures implemented and responsible consumption in the educational institution since 2009.
The Dean of the Faculty, Antonio Campillo, was awarded the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, at a ceremony held in the building of Convalescence and which also gave honorable mentions to two separate faculties of Communication and Information Science and Veterinary.
Antonio Navarro, custodian of the School of Communication and Information, on behalf of the dean of the center, Francisco Javier Martinez, also present at the ceremony, and José Antonio Rouco, dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, collected the surveys.
The Faculty of Philosophy has been the most committed to the campaign, to achieve savings in electricity that has exceeded 16 percent, in addition to having achieved economies also printing, photocopying, etc..
The Vice Chancellor of Finance and Infrastructure, Antonio Calvo-Flores, spoke of the measures implemented by the educational institution since 2009 to be more efficient, but noted that "personal attitude of each is the best way to save."
Both Antonio Calvo-Flores, as the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, who thanked the university community for their efforts and commitment to saving and efficiency, encouraged the centers and services to participate in the second edition of the competition.
