The Mayor chairs the vow renewal ceremony City to the Virgen del Rosario (07/10/2012)

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, presided this afternoon the municipal delegation that participated in the Holy Eucharist in which the City Council Vote renewed annually to City Lady of the Rosary.

Along with House, attended the ceremony councilors Joaquín Moya-Angeler, Adela Martinez-Cachá, Miguel Cascales, María Dolores Sánchez, Cristóbal Herrero, José María Tortosa, Juan Antonio Bernabe, Manuel Duran, Alicia Ruiz Barquero and Cosme.

This is a remote tradition recovered by the Confraternity of Our Lady of the Rosary and the city of Murcia, which is set in the Conventual Church of Anas.

Tradition, missing for decades, recalls the vote that the Council of the City of Murcia made in perpetuity to the Virgin of the Rosary in thanksgiving for gifts received by killing off a terrible epidemic in 1677.

After the Eucharist, the sacred image of the Virgin in the church has come Claustral Procession.
