Councilwoman Andrea Garries regrets that once again the local government to abandon the public to reward private entities, in this case, the ACB basketball team that is sponsored by the UCAM
The Socialist councilor Andrea Garries Group reports that the Board of Governors in June, the PP cut by 200,000 euros approved the budget for the maintenance of sports facilities of the municipality to subsidize this amount to an elite club sponsored by UCAM, ACB basketball team.
To Garries, such decisions are not successful because the municipal sports facilities continue to deteriorate in a rush and some of them, as the pool of Mar Menor, is closed up tight since July, but the local government has explained what happens with this installation, which is kept closed and when opened.
Rather than go for the proper maintenance and operation of public sports facilities, denounced the socialist councilor Councillor for Sports, as usual, all the money spent in helping, this time, to a sports club elite while the basic sport in our town, to cite another example, just received aid, although motivates thousands of children in the municipality.
"It is sad that the PP maintains its same old ways, leaving the public in favor of private" Garries ends.
