The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, and the Councillor for Environment, Adela Martinez-Cachá, traveling this week to Sant Cugat del Valles to attend the IV Congress organized by the Bicycle Network Cities for Cycling.
The Mayor, as chair of the Network, will lead the Board meeting to be held on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Councilwoman Martinez-Cachá give a presentation on Friday to explain the experience of Murcia in promoting the use of bicycles in the city.
This conference, which is in its fourth edition, is held every two years and aims to promote the use of bicycles and develop policies, infrastructure and debates that allow increasingly moving bikes and do it in the best conditions.
This year is primarily focused on two issues: The bicycle as an economic sector in developing and implementing strategies for the bicycle in the municipalities.
Speakers will include leading figures from the world of European cycling to expose congressional data showing the benefits of its use in cities.
