The floor of PEEM, is located in the Green Sangonera and benefit some 130 families, plus they offer "respite"
The Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin, this morning attended the presentation of the new floor of the Association for the Integration of Persons with Intellectual Disability (PEEM), which wants to bring people with intellectual disabilities independent living in sheltered housing.
Family Association has worked hard to acquire two flats which were later joined to form a single dwelling larger capacity.
Fully equipped and adapted for people with disabilities.
This initiative has been made possible by Fundación ONCE through the Regional Infrastructure Plan (IRP) which contributed to more than 42,000 euros CEOM between 2010 and 2011.
The property is in Sangonera La Verde and still no date of entry into operation waiting to have the necessary resources.
When you open your doors, up to nine people in each shift will learn to be self-supported professional association.
For many of these people will be the first opportunity to experience independence and prepare to live outside the family.
