The University of Murcia held on Friday for the fifth consecutive year the Researchers' Night, a day intended primarily for children and families to show, in a playful and fun, science is being done in their classrooms and laboratories.
This edition, which was presented today to the media at the headquarters of the Senate, will take place next Friday (September 28), from 18:00 am in the courtyard of the Old Artillery Barracks Murcia and, coinciding with the International Year of Sustainable Energy, will be especially dedicated to this subject under the theme of "Science with Power".
For nearly twenty stands, researchers at the University of Murcia conducted multidisciplinary activities in different fields of science, such as physics, chemistry, nutrition, renewable energy, biology, climate change, sustainability, mathematics, geology, engineering.
Besides the scientific measures, there will be concerts - the student group versionará Dark Energy Experience legendary rock themes, interpretations of classical music quartet Mastia, etc. - Artists' painting science "and live radio.
The Centre will have a prominent role in tonight, with a workshop of science journalism, the drawing contest "What is for you a scientist?"

The Researchers' Night is a great event held simultaneously in 300 European cities and at the University of Murcia is organized by the Unit for Culture and Promotion of Scientific Research, and is funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
The Convalescence act was presided by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, the Vice Chancellor for Research and Internationalisation, Gaspar Ros, the manager of the Seneca Foundation (partner of the event), Antonio González, and activities coordinator, Antonio Guirao.
