Students attending Jesús María FADE talk within the events planned in the week of Cooperating
Jesus Mary School students participated this morning in a talk FADE Foundation (Foundation Help Development Education), within the City campaign for Township NGOs about their experiences in schools and colleges of the city.
Furthermore, this activity is part of the Cooperating Week, held until Friday.
The Councillor for Equality Policies and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, also participated in the discussion.
FADE works for vulnerable children (tutoring workshops and Spanish classes for immigrants), elderly, sick and dependent (accompaniment in homes, day centers, nursing homes or hospitals) and hospitalized children.
It also develops other action projects aimed at the social inclusion of women in situations of social risk, the development and strengthening of the family and youth, and development cooperation, with projects underway in different countries of the South, including highlight the CHEP program, health care for children in Kenya, and an educational program in Peru.
The activities of this week continues tomorrow with the talk, a documentary and photo exhibition of the NGO Solidarity Surgery, which does its work in Cameroon, in the Municipal Center García Alix, at 19.30.
From Friday 28 to Sunday 30 September Cooperating Fair held in the Plaza de Santo Domingo.
About 25 NGOs tents installed to give the awareness of its work and attract volunteers.
There will also be exhibitions and activities for young and old.
