The Councillor for the Environment, Adela Martinez-Cachá, Vitoria travels to attend the European Forum X Civitas Network where Murcia decide whether to get the presidency of this network.
Murcia chooses to chair the Spanish cities of the network and be joined to another city and Portuguese to the Portuguese side chair.
The mayor will use also the opportunity to meet with Idoia Garmendia, Environment Councillor Vitoria, European Green Capital, in order to share experiences on environmental policies implemented in both municipalities.
The network Civitas Spain and Portugal is a network for Local Authorities (Cities, Provinces, Regions ...) in Spain and Portugal, although it is open to so-called associate members (Universities, Transport Authorities, Technology Center or Private Companies) with Sustainable Mobility interests.
Conforms well the only statewide network that takes care of all aspects regarding sustainable mobility, energy saving and emission reduction through reducing the impact on climate change, reducing transport costs and improving mobility and health and quality of air.
