The San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) conducted in Cuba, together with the University of Havana, through the San Geronimo College-and the Montane Anthropological Museum, the first edition of the Diploma 'Anthropology and Heritage'.
The course, which begins on October 1 and runs until February, has 25 pitches for professionals in the Office of the Historian of the City (Havana), Teachers College of San Geronimo de La Habana, the University Havana and other related specialists Anthropology and Heritage.
These studies, which are formed around nine modules will be taught at the University of Havana, during a week UCAM professors, and the rest of the course, Cuban University professors.
Furthermore, the title will have two directors, the director of the Anthropological Museum Montané, Armando Rangel (Cuba) and the Vice Chancellor of the University Extension UCAM, Antonio Alcaraz, (Spain).
Notably, the Diploma will enable the development of the first anthropologists to guarantee the Scientific Committee of the University of Havana.
The diploma's main objective is to provide the theoretical and methodological basis for understanding and interpreting anthropology as a discipline that contributes to professional training in Management and Conservation of Cultural Heritage.
Similarly, students will understand the human phenomenon as a process which includes various expressions from historical, time-space, biological, ecological, social and cultural.
The Vice Chancellor of University Extension of the UCAM, Antonio Alcaraz, stressed the importance of this international project face to strengthen the presence of UCAM in Cuba, and expressed his joy at the launch of the Diploma "which will implement a joint degree in the faculty of both universities and countries participate in a common project, "he qualified.
