The district of Santiago and Zaraiche already has its Center for Women.
The Councillor for Equality Policies and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, this morning visited the newly created Board of Directors, chaired by Ana Romera.
The Women's Center will occupy the old premises of the Municipal Board, in Our Lady of Atocha street, sharing space with the Senior Center.
The City Council has conditioned the house painting installation and equipping of furniture.
In addition, the Board has the support and advice service technicians woman.
Shortly commence the activities of the new center and will enroll women as partners who are interested.
Among other things, the center will offer workshops on laughter therapy, diet and nutrition and encourage reading.
This new Center for Women joins the existing 75 involving more than 12,000 women.
