Juan Tabernero Peace, currently engaged in post-doctoral Optics Laboratory at the University of Murcia under the program Juan de la Cierva, has won the European Young Investigator Award Carl Zeiss pointers 2012 for his work to know the optics of the eye and their impact on the development of myopia.

The award recognizes research career Tabernero, which has developed both at the University of Murcia, where he completed his doctorate under the direction of Professor Pablo Artal, as in the German city of Tübingen, where he spent a post-doctoral.

With this award, the Optics Laboratory of the University of Murcia get more recognition for its work in global forefront.
